Duration of MCA Program – 2 Years

The department was established during the inception of the institute in 2000 as the department of Master of Computer Applications. Since its commencement, the primary aims to prepare the students for new challenges in the area of Information Technology. We are committed to give our students an environment where they would be able to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they advance through the program. In addition to class room teaching, the students are guided and motivated to practically implement the principles learnt in classroom through experimentation in the laboratories which help them gain confidence and become skilled engineering professionals. “Passed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree. OR passed B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at l0+2 Level or at Graduation Level (with additional bridge Courses as per the norms of the concerned University). Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.

PO-1:  An ability to independently carry out research/investigation and development work to solve practical problems

PO-3:  Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor’s program
