Vision of the Department

We, an elite panel of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, are committed to the development of students into energetic and confident professionals through symbolic effects and innovative practices of management and faculty to provide an ambient academic environment for the benefits of students and community at large.

Mission of the Department

To provide technical education to face the challenges in the modern technology and to promote research capabilities to identify and solve problems.

To foster the talent of students with good leadership quality and positive thinking to society with high standards of moral and ethical values.

To provide good learning environment to develop entrepreneurship capabilities in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with enhanced efficiency and technical knowledge.

Program Educational Objectives

PE0 1: EMPLOYABILITY: To innovate the students to take more than just imagination and to give superior technical education for tomorrow’s competitive world.

PEO 2: HIGHER STUDIES: To prepare the students with high standard education to associate with global industry needed.

PEO3: ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND LEADERSHIP: To train the student with perfection and State-of-the art technology keeping in the changing and demanding trends.

PEO 4: PROFESSIONAL ETHICS: To create innovative thinkers in electrical and electronics field and to create new projects to meet the needs of the society

Programme Outcome (Pos)

PO1 Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2 Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO3 Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4 Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5 Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6 The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
PO7 Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
PO8 Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
PO9 Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
PO10 Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
PO11 Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

PSO1

To educate the knowledge of Electrical Fundamentals, Power Systems, Control SystemEngineering, Analog & Digital electronics required for the industries.

PSO2 To analyse and design for the development of Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, Embedded systems and Electrical drives using simulation software tools and hardware.
PSO3 Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components Ability to apply the required management principles and ethical values to work as a team and to lead a team.

  1. AICTE Sponsored The first International Conference on Innovative and Cutting Edge Technologies in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering & Information Technology on 14.12.2022 to 15.12.2022.
  2. Department of EEE organized Alumni  Power Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)- A Trademark for Innovations by Dr.Y.Thiyagarajan Associate Professor from Puducherry on 08.05.2023.
  3. Department of EEE organized Technical Seminar On Smart Grid And Facts Devices-An Overview by Er.R.Ramar Assistant Director on 11.02.2020 for all Second, Third and Final year Students.
